about ana campos

?

hello there!

i’m ana. i’m 25, from portugal and i live in shanghai with the boy that rocks my world and 2 adorable kittens: lilo and grub. i’ve previously lived in the netherlands, for a whole magical year, where i realized that cultural immersion is not only my favorite way of “traveling”, it’s a 24-hour-rollercoaster ride of discovery. and we’re loving it so far, so who knows where we’ll end up next?

on the technical side, i graduated in computer science but, fancying all things design related, soon decided that being a webdesigner was the best way to combine the two. i keep a portfolio of freelance projects at helloana.com. i also try be a good community manager at postcrossing.com.

you can reach me through email or messenger (ana_at_braga@msn.com).

these are a few of my favourite things:

airports, apple pie, autumn, boathouses, blogging, books, buildings, bikes, bossanova, children stories, crafts, crocs, calvin & hobbes, chocolate, cinnamon, chubby space invaders, contextual design, cut and paste, css, cupcakes, coffee, day dreaming, duct tape, darkrooms, film photography, foam, ford, friends, gezellig, gluhwein, green grass, gaston lagaffe, handwritings, handmade postcards, hugs, information visualization, ilford film, jazz & jams, knitting, lists, lighthouses, little things, languages, maps, subway, mac, meiadeleite.com, musicals for kids, my minolta, milk cartons, moleskines, news clipping, nutella, netherlands, national geographic, old photos, open air markets, people watching, procastination, polaroid, oporto, public transportation, piano and violin, pomegranates, postcrossing.com, pancakes, postman pat, rust, recycled paper, second hand shops, scarves, stripes, scrapbooks, snow, strawberries, stubborness, sunny winter days, sketching, swimming, second hand shops, shorts and tshirts, story telling, tea, tenderness, tim burton, travelling, the smell of sugar factories in autumn, urban culture, vla, vinyl, walking barefoot, waking up early, woody allen, wallace and gromit, waves, white, writing, zines…

about this website…

‘meia de leite’ is the name of a drink (in portuguese) and its literal translation would be ‘half milk’, but you might know it by the name of “cafe latte” or “cafe au lait”.
something like a cup of expresso with hot milk and lots of foam. i <3 them!

on the technical side, meiadeleite.com runs joomla wordpress on a server hosted in hosting matters our own little server, since 2004. erratic versions existed before that, under the name “no fundo das escadas”.
the posts in this blog are written in a 12″ ibook covered in stickers, occasionally fueled by caffeine 13″ macbook, white.

this domain was a birthdday gift from a dear friend (gui), and it means a lot to me.

    Ana,

    PS: Volta sempre…
