here’s a very, very late march:
the first half of march was spent at home, or catching up with friends… and the second was all about iceland! :)

today is the last day of march and i haven’t even posted february’s video yet… so here it goes, without further ado:

february was a very normal let’s-get-work-done month with a few highlights in between. we got our xmas presents (plus the loveliest care package all the way from canada!), did a quick trip north to check on the family and had a nice Postcrossing meeting with lots of people who came all the way to the south! i also finally bought the domain name for project X, something i’ve been working on for quite some time now… hopefully soon it’ll be live! :)
a bit late, but here’s january:
the beginning of the year was homely and mostly boring, from a cinematographic perspective. we caught up on work and set up goals for the year, both personal and professional. outside, i rode my new bike and we hiked, met friends and went to the festa da chouriça, in querença, which was pretty yummy!
i also joined a local gym (not pictured) and started doing (a sort of light) crossfit! every other day, i get my ass-kicked by a ridiculous amount of push-ups, burpees or deadlifts… and come home sore and happy. it wasn’t a new year resolution, but it worked out nicely anyway! :)
december was mostly cozy and low-key.
we worked, fixed flat tires, gave blood, and spent the evenings writing christmas cards. we found an alarming amount of mould in some hidden corners of the house… and promptly got a dehumidifier, which seems to be doing its job (phew!). we travelled north and enjoyed some down time with the family around christmas. on the 31st, we rang the new year with friends, raclette and a game of settlers of catan. 2016, we’re ready for you!

… our friend lynda introduced us to the legendary nanaimo bars and we showed her around the south for a few more days, including visiting sevilla and zip-lining across the border. my brother stayed with us for a short while too and we took him hiking on the via algarviana. and towards the end of the month, we spent a weekend hiking some more and exploring portugal’s stunning southwestern coast.
mostly though, we worked, ran errands, and got life back on track… the kind of stuff which is never featured, but is still the bulk of our days! :)
