may feels like a million years ago… so much has happened since then that if it wasn’t for the videos, i don’t think i would be able to recall half of the stuff we did.

we walked and walked… sometimes in my new birkenstocks (which were a bit painful to break into). disinfected the house and washed all the things when we found out the boy was allergic to dust mites. tried to make burek at home. watched eurovision. read quite a bit. met heidi, a friend from finland that was in town. went to the islamic fest in mértola at last. cooked noodles. re-watched the matrix movies. and then drove north to help the family.

another month, another video!

catching up with the family in the north, bringing the parents south by train, eating mom’s delicious food, walks on the beach, sagres, samuel úria, burek… just life.

a very late recap of march.

the month started in the north, and ended there as well. the boy celebrated his birthday, we got covered in saharan dust, then drenched in rain. oath of love is out, but i’ve only watched a couple of episodes. lots of zoom calls. and the solar water heater is up at last.

january! the first month of the year saw us quietly recharging at home, getting reacquainted with our routines and the things we missed the past few months.

i read a couple of books, we caught up with friends over online dinners, played hanabi a few times, enjoyed all the almond trees blossoming everywhere, hung a couple of birdhouses, good boostered, watched some chinese series and celebrated chinese new year. it was a great month, with quite a few new dishes and birds spotted too.
