… perfect autumn days with lots of puddles for my rubber boots! :D
new campers
925 days was how long my first pair of campers lasted. over two and a half years of inconspicuous comfort in all kinds of weather – and of never having to stop to tie the shoe laces!
yet with holes threatening to open on them, i knew that the end was near. so last week, we walked down to the camper store, and finally got their shiny replacements. long live the new campers! :)
running in the zoo
you gotta admit, it’s not the most common place for a 10k, but it turned out quite nicely! after a scary moment of oh-my-god-we-forgot-the-microchip!, the boy managed to rent one at the last minute, and finished the race in record time. after that, we ate sausages and spent the rest of the day strolling around, checking out all the animals. :)
the autumn of our discontent
on the news
it’s been a rough week, but we’re trying to keep our cool and see the good side of it. indeed, not all is bad. we recently did an interview for a tv channel here in germany, which was broadcasted yesterday. we’ve managed to dodge the cameras for 7 years (and i don’t think it’s an experience we’re eager to repeat any time soon…) but somehow, i think it turned out ok. :)
you can see it here, for a few more days at least.
